Vega Reservoir & Vega State Park
Located around 7,700 feet above sea level, Vega Reservoir is a great place to go if you're into fishing and clear waters. While the reservoir is only two miles long, it gives you access to great fish like cutthroat trout, rainbow trout and brook trout. Make sure to bring your fishing license before attempting to catch a big one.
In the spring or summer, you won't want to miss out on Vega State Park's hundreds of wildflowers. Take a break from fishing to smell the flowers or take a cute photoshoot with your friends. You could even have a picnic on the shore of Vega Reservoir or at one of the many picnic areas scattered throughout the park.
In the winter, you can go snowmobiling, ice fishing, snowshoeing and cross-country skiing in the area. Dress warm and bring some hot cocoa because the light snow is something you won't want to miss. Stay with us all year long!
No matter what season it is, travelers can find exciting things to do while staying at Vega Lodge. From Guided trips to weddings to snow sports the possibilities are endless.
I had my wedding there at the end of July. We rented all the cabins and the campground for the weekend and it was a truly magical experience. My traveling guests enjoyed the unique Colorado wedding and the food was great. Kristy was a pleasure to work with. So thankful to have picked this place as my wedding venue.
Friendly staff, clean cabins, great food & drinks! Beautiful mountain surroundings with snowmobile trails from the lodge! Smoked salmon & prime rib were top-notch!
My husband and I have ate here several times and I love the atmosphere in this restaurant. The service is amazing, the food is delicious.
