Vega Reservoir &
Vega State Park

Located around 7,700 feet above sea level, Vega Reservoir is a great place to go if you're into fishing and clear waters. While the reservoir is only two miles long, it gives you access to great fish like cutthroat trout, rainbow trout and brook trout. Make sure to bring your fishing license before attempting to catch a big one.

In the spring or summer, you won't want to miss out on Vega State Park's hundreds of wildflowers. Take a break from fishing to smell the flowers or take a cute photoshoot with your friends. You could even have a picnic on the shore of Vega Reservoir or at one of the many picnic areas scattered throughout the park.

In the winter, you can go snowmobiling, snowshoeing and cross-country skiing in the area. Dress warm and bring some hot cocoa because the light snow is something you won't want to miss. Stay with us all year long!

REVIEWS

I had my wedding there at the end of July. We rented all the cabins and the campground for the weekend and it was a truly magical experience. My traveling guests enjoyed the unique Colorado wedding and the food was great. Kristy was a pleasure to work with. So thankful to have picked this place as my wedding venue.
